This documentary short captures the artist as he celebrates his final days as a bartender at Happyfun Hideaway and transitions to becoming a full-time artist.

Synopsis
In a hidden place, the daily routine of a retire-
ment home unfolds as time seems to stand
still. The penciled residents come to life on
paper. Some are active, others rest or follow
a fixed schedule to be repeated each day:
medication, meals, games... Around them,
machines are flashing, caregivers are busy
and some crucifixes remind them of the
death that lies in wait. Time fades away and
nearby, stretches a forest.

A tribute to the Gauchos.
Last October I was working on a documentary in Patagonia. We came back with a lot of incredible things. I decided to edit the best of it. It was important for me to do this project, to thank and highlight them in a way.
With this project, I wanted to make a portrait of the gauchos, based on how they consider themself. Gauchos are seen like modern living cow boys, but it's more subtle than this, as Pajarito explained to us.
The 3:2 ratio was important to me. I wanted to get the idea of a "square" picture, like a still photography.
I tried to show the feeling of freedom I had with them. Time and spaces are totally different over there.
At some moments, I was having a break during shooting and realizing how lucky I was. I felt like I was happy to witness these moments.
This work has been made possible thanks to Pronto Prod with whom I was shooting a documentary on remote locations in the world. I would like to especially thank the director Philippe Mac Gaw who gave me the opportunity to make this edit and to turn it into a personal project.
Again for the music, I worked with my buddy AIR GOAT who describes his compositions in his own terms:"
I wanted to this song to sound soft and delicate to resonate with the
poetry of these men's lives, but also strong and brutal to embody the
rawness of the nature around them.
After listening to music from the Andes it felt natural to use the guitar as a primary instrument, and I also choose to do as many things as I could with the guitar only : the percussions at 1:04 are actually made by hitting the soundboard of the guitar. I added elements from different string instruments such as ukulele, portuguese guitar and cellos to complete the song.
In the end I am very proud of this composition and I think it really blends well with the beauty of nature and the wild lifestyle of the Gauchos".

Lo scorso ottobre stavo lavorando a un documentario in Patagonia. Siamo tornati con un sacco di cose incredibili. Ho deciso di montare il meglio. Era importante per me fare questo progetto, ringraziarli e metterli in risalto in un certo senso. Con questo progetto, volevo fare un ritratto dei gauchos, basato su come loro stessi si considerano. I gauchos sono visti come moderni cow boy viventi, ma è più sottile di così, come ci ha spiegato Pajarito. Il rapporto 3:2 era importante per me. Volevo dare l'idea di un'immagine "quadrata", come una fotografia fissa. Ho cercato di mostrare la sensazione di libertà che avevo con loro. Il tempo e gli spazi sono totalmente diversi lì. Dopo aver ascoltato la musica delle Ande, mi è sembrato naturale usare la chitarra come strumento principale e ho anche scelto di fare quante più cose possibili solo con la chitarra: le percussioni a 1:04 sono in realtà prodotte colpendo la cassa armonica della chitarra. Ho aggiunto elementi di diversi strumenti a corda come ukulele, chitarra portoghese e violoncelli per completare la canzone. Alla fine sono molto orgoglioso di questa composizione e penso che si fonda davvero bene con la bellezza della natura e lo stile di vita selvaggio dei Gauchos". Synopsis:
Sometimes I think I have explored this entire garden, wandered through
all its paths, roamed up all its hills, and admired all its views.
Lost in reverie, I suddenly detect another pathway once again…
Description:
This experimental animation features the enigmatic bodies of dyed
crystals grown from a chemical process in aqueous solutions. The obscure
process of growing dyed crystals, a once relevant practice in materials
science, has become obsolete and through my recent work, I became
interested in reviving this process. I aimed to bring to life a large
collection of crystals into a moving painting, while calling into
question their relevance as art objects. I discovered the lost art and
science of growing dyed crystals during my residency at the Kahr
Research Group from Bart Kahr who worked with these types of crystals
throughout 30 years. Virtually every frame of the film showcases a
different crystal in the meticulously constructed work. The imagery is
an embroidery of thousands of crystals documented in a unique way I
discovered utilizing scanners during my residency at the Kahr Research
Group. The film was created during my residency at the Santa Barbara
Center for Art Science and Technology. In 2020, this film won the GLAS
Animation Festival grant, which is the only grant in the US for
independent animators in the US.

Voiced by Selema Masekela, the film explores the varied roots of surfing’s origin and its subsequent cultural evolution into what we recognise today.

create this 4 minute animation.
The Slinky story highlights the formation and evolution of the iconic
Slinky brand of rock-n-roll guitar strings and the incredible impact
these strings had on the development of the rock-n-roll guitar. The
Ernie Ball company has been the world's #1 electric guitar string brand
for over 60 years pioneering custom gauge electric guitar strings that
have become the industry standard.

TURBULENCE
is an 8K HDR Experience video which was entirely shot in a fishtank
with metallic paint and inks. All effects were created in camera. I used
a custom micro dropping mechanism es well as 4 axis motion control to
capture these images on the macro scale. I was experimenting with very
thin needles to release tiny drops into the water. On this level of 5x
life-size magnification, one can see the single pigment grains
travelling through the water and reflecting the light. I observed many
forms of turbulences and the illusion of anti-gravity in the fishtank
when the feather light pigments changed direction and started to flow
from bottom to top. It was a joy to see this and I hope you like it as
much as I do.

TURBULENCE è un video 8K HDR Experience girato interamente in un acquario con vernice metallizzata e inchiostri. Tutti gli effetti sono stati creati nella telecamera. Ho utilizzato un meccanismo di micro-goccia personalizzato e un controllo del movimento a 4 assi per catturare queste immagini su scala macro. Stavo sperimentando con aghi molto sottili per rilasciare piccole gocce nell'acqua. A questo livello di ingrandimento a grandezza naturale 5x, si possono vedere i singoli granelli di pigmento che viaggiano nell'acqua e riflettono la luce. Ho osservato molte forme di turbolenze e l'illusione di antigravità nell'acquario quando i pigmenti leggeri come una piuma hanno cambiato direzione e hanno iniziato a scorrere dal basso verso l'alto. È stato un piacere vederlo e spero che ti piaccia tanto quanto a me. Eye Candy, ottimizzato per display HDR.

Ups and Downs
Behind closed doors, professional skier Drew Petersen has been living a much different reality than ski films, magazine covers, and Instagram likes have shown. Following a near-death accident in the mountains, Petersen went into a dark tailspin of mental health struggles. In the following years, he has privately navigated an arduous journey of PTSD, bipolar disorder, brain injury rehabilitation, and suicidal thoughts. Told through the lens of ski touring, “Ups and Downs” is an introspective look at the mountains and valleys along his path, and how his mental health journey is ultimately lifelong—both from well before Petersen’s accident and for the rest of his life moving forward. His story is truly one of finding the light, healing both in the mountains and in therapy, and how giving voice to his struggles ultimately saved him.
