Lo scopo della sequenza dei titoli era catturare l'essenza della creatività, dell'innovazione e dell'ispirazione attraverso la lente dei diversi paesaggi, flora, fauna e formazioni geologiche dell'Australia. Attraverso immagini astratte e altamente stilizzate, abbiamo cercato di mostrare il processo creativo e la miriade di influenze che guidano il motion design, dalla natura, arte e moda alla tecnologia e oltre. The aim for the title sequence was to capture the essence of creativity, innovation, and inspiration through the lens of Australia's diverse landscapes, flora, fauna, and geological formations. Through abstract and highly stylized visuals, we sought to showcase the creative process and the myriad of influences that drive motion design, from nature, art and fashion to technology and beyond.
We wanted to create a piece that shows the diverse range of styles in motion design so decided to put together a large team of some of the worlds best artists in the field and give them freedom to interpret the brief in unique ways.
Thanks to all the artists for contributing and shout out to Tony/Yeti pictures for doing so many shots and to Jessica Ledoux for bringing it all together in the edit.
Shout out to Camp Mograph for giving us a blank canvas to create over and to @shellinmotion for organizing the Australian event.

A trip and a fall down memory lane.
"The Hardest Part" is from Washed Out's new album "Notes From a Quiet Life" out June 28th.
This is the first official commissioned music video collaboration between a music artist and filmmaker made with OpenAI's Sora video model.
Moving on is the hardest part. This video is about learning to let go of a loved one and dreaming of them after they are gone. But memories are subjective, distorted mirrors of reality. For this, I leaned into the hallucinations and Sora's dream logic to explore memories that never existed. I was interested in the surreal qualities unique to Sora / AI that differentiate it from reality, the space between canny and uncanny, the strange details, the dream-like logic of movement that better represents this distorted mirror of memories.
