Corso di figura umana, Toronto, Canada. Descrizione del fotografo: una di una serie di foto che ho scattato per un corso di figura umana. Ho usato una webcam e una patch di elaborazione video che ho creato in EyesWeb per creare l'effetto di sdoppiamento in tempo reale. La modella mi ha chiesto di inviarle gli scatti via email, il che è stato davvero interessante. Ho chiesto espressamente alla modella di mettersi in posa per questo scatto e ho posizionato la webcam sulla scala che si vede in alcuni degli altri scatti. Volevo vedere i movimenti impercettibili che avrebbe fatto stando in piedi... ma era una modella così brava che sembrava immobile come una roccia. Sono rimasto molto colpito. L'altra idea in questo scatto era di inquadrarla come una cariatide, come quelle che ho visto in Grecia quando ero più giovane. La parte superiore dell'inquadratura è sostenuta come un tetto, mentre è in piedi nella parte inferiore. Suppongo che "cariatide" dovrebbe essere un titolo alternativo.

A late Ming Dynasty period erotic novel which displays a variety of sexual positions. A a well-know four-volume Chinese erotic novel from the late Ming dynasty (ca. 1640 AD) entitled Su E Pian (素娥篇).  The story describes the romantic adventures of Wu San Si (武三思) and a beautiful concubine by the name of Su E (素 娥).  Su E is sometimes referred to as the "Lady of the Moon". The couple is inspired to make love in a variety of natural settings using forty-three different sexual positions. Illustrated wood engravings

The India Catalina statue on the Avenue Venezuela at the edge of the Historic Center, Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. This statue commemorates a native girl who was kidnapped by the Spanish at about age 8, then trained to speak Spanish. As a young adult, she returned to Colombia and neighboring lands with the Spanish to help convince the indigenous tribes that the Spanish were their friends. Some locals think India Catalina is a traitor as she sold out her fellow tribespeople for the Spanish. No one knows how India Catalina actually looked. The statue design is an European view of what a perfect woman would resemble. January 2016
La statua di India Catalina in Avenida Venezuela, ai margini del Centro Storico di Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Questa statua commemora una bambina indigena che fu rapita dagli spagnoli all'età di circa 8 anni e che le fu poi insegnato a parlare spagnolo. Da giovane adulta, tornò in Colombia e nelle terre vicine con gli spagnoli per aiutare a convincere le tribù indigene che gli spagnoli erano loro amici. Alcuni abitanti del posto pensano che India Catalina sia una traditrice, poiché ha tradito i suoi compagni tribali per gli spagnoli. Nessuno sa che aspetto avesse realmente India Catalina.
