Ares e Afrodite, Museo archeologico nazionale di Napoli, (inv. nr. 9248). Da Pompei, Casa delle Nozze di Ercole (o Casa di Marte e Venere). Marte solleva il manto azzurro di Venere, per ammirarne la nudità caratterizzata solo da una catena d'oro disposta ad X. Caratteristica è la rappresentazione dei due sessi che prevede una carnagione bruna per l'uomo e chiara e delicata per la donna. Due amorini giocano con le armi di Marte. Lo scudo e l'elmo rimandano riflessi di luce.

Bronze statuette possibly of the Roman fertility god Priapus, made in two parts (shown here in assembled and disassembled forms). This statuette has been dated to the late 1st century C.E. It was found in Rivery, in Picardy, France in 1771 and is the oldest Gallo-Roman object in the collection of the Museum of Picardy. This figurine represents the deity clothed in a "cuculus", a Gallic coat with hood, and may be an example of the Genii cucullati. This upper section is detachable and conceals a phallus.

Erotic scene from the venereum of the House of Lucius Caecilius Jucundus, Pompeii (V 1, 26), 1st c. CE. It's possible that this is meant to show a bride on her first night (or morning) of marriage, in bed with her new - and naked - husband. She wears a bright yellow cloak (palla) around her legs; Roman brides wore a 'flammeum', a bright yellow veil, to take their vows. The woman is also wearing a strophium, a strip of cloth that binds and supports the breasts. Almost unnoticeable is the slave in the background, waiting on her owners. On display in the Gabinetto Segreto (Secret Cabinet or Secret Room) at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli

Falsario del XX secolo, scena erotica in terracotta alla maniera aretina del II-III secolo
In the book "Eros in antiquity" by Antonia Mulas, 1978, this object is described as a stamp.  Another idea is that there were"...ceramics... produced by way of stamps or negative moulds, such as terra sigillata." See other versions below. An object created in the 20th-century. Source Forgery. Erotic terracotta scene in the Arezzo manner from the 2nd-3rd century CE. Another idea is that it is a replica from a contemporary era as"...thermo-luminescence analyses of the Berlin stamp and the mould have shown, which allegedly came from the workshop of Arezzo." See other versions below. In the book "Eros in antiquity" by Antonia Mulas, 1978, this object is described as a stamp. Object in the Antikensammlung Berlin.

One of the frescos in the Gabinetto Segreto (Secret Room, or Secret Cabinet) at the National Archaelogical Museum in Naples, depicting a pointy-eared satyr caressing the breast of a woman, probably a maenad. The woman is partially veiled, but apparently naked, and covered in gold jewelry: a diadem, necklace, and an armlet with a precious stone. The satyr wears an animal skin, has silver earrings, a necklace of leaves, and wears a pine-bough wreath on his head. He is fondling the maenad’s pale breast, while she pulls her veil aside. Ostia Antica - House of the Painted Vaults - room 5 - central picture - south wall Sex between a female and a male. In Ostia Antica in the House of the Painted Vaults, a private house, there are two wall paintings of sexual scenes. These wall paintings are thought to come from a mid-3rd century CE painting phase and have been painted over paintings beneath it that are from the 2nd century CE. Three photographs from November 1938 show what these paintings looked like when excavations first began in 1938. When exposed to the air and the dampness the wall paintings degraded over time. In the 1950s they were removed form the wall. The paint was applied when the plaster was partailly dried and this made it fragile. When it was removed from the wall the paint degraded further. This is a print of a water colour painting. This painting was created in 1921 for the portfolio "Die Erotik der Antike in Kleinkunst und Keramik" by Gaston Vorberg. For this portfolio there were antiquities that were located in collections and institutions and then watercolour paintings were made of these antiquities. Some of the objects had photographs taken of them. The object that this painting was based on was an ancient Graeco-Roman gem. The gem had a "cameo" engraving on it. Iconographic Collections

Two bronze statuettes of Priapus intent on a libation above their phallus: the statuette on the left on a round plinth (inv. 27732) is probably a modern copy of the one on the right on a polygonal plinth found at Herculaneum (inv. 27731), both of which are exhibited in the Secret Cabinet of the National Archaeological Museum in Naples.
