PACO PEREGRIN
Paco Peregrín was born in Almeria, Spain. He resides in Madrid and he works worldwide. He has won many grants and prizes including a Gold Lux (National Professional Photography Awards in Spain). He has been awarded at relevant international film festivals such as the Chicago Fashion Film Festival, the London Fashion Film Festival, the International Fashion Film Festival Brussels and the Global Short Film Awards Festival in Cannes. His work is part of important art collections and it has appeared in numerous books such as Otherworldly (Gestalten) or New Fashion Photography (Prestel).
Paco Peregrín has also photographed and art-directed high-profile projects for global household names like Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, L’Oréal Paris, Adidas, Nike, Lee, Levi’S, Diesel, Vögele Shoes, Max Shoes, Gant, Mazda, Toyota, Carlsberg, La Rinascente, Redken, Marie Dalgar, Shiseido, Lancôme, etc.
Paco has published his photographs in major magazines such as Vogue (IT, DE, ES), Harper’s Bazaar (US, ES, VN), L’Officiel, Vanity Fair, VMAN, ELLE, Grazia, Tatler, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Amica, Dsection, Fucking Young!, Vision, Zink!, Neo2, Tendencias, Yo Dona, Vanidad, Schön!, Noi.se, Allure, Edelweiss, NYLON, etc.
Paco’s style has earned him credibility as one of the most exciting and talented photographers working in advertising, beauty, art and fashion today with major personality. His unmistakable signature belies his background in design, communication, theatre and painting. His photography carries a perfect blend of sensuality with avant garde.
Fusing hyper-real futurism with high-end beauty images, his work is defined by a marked character of hybridization of styles where come together the latest fashion trends and the most personal conceptual reflections, always providing to his images with a sensual, elegant and mysterious, even perturbing character, trying to interrelate the point of view of the traditional art spectator with the most generic public of the mass-media. Paco’s juxtapositions shows a mastery of the fine line between commercial success and art.
He is a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Seville University and extends his
formation in image and new means of expression in prestigious centers
such as International Center Of Photography (NYC), Central Saint Martins
College of Art and Design (London), Andalusian Centre of Contemporary
Art, Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró a Mallorca, Andalusian Center of
Photography, Complutense University of Madrid, EFTI (International
Photography and Film Center) and University of Santiago de Compostela.
He has exhibited his work in galleries in New York, Paris, Barcelona,
Beijing, Madrid, Berlin, Seville, San Sebastian… and museums like the
Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art (Seville), Cristóbal Balenciaga
