Anarchism in Denmark
Halfdan Wedel Rasmussen (29 January 1915 in Copenhagen – 2 March 2002) was a Danish poet. He was known for his literary nonsense verse for children and his serious adult writings about social issues and human rights. He was awarded with the Ministry of Culture's children book prize (Kulturministeriets Børnebogspris) in 1965.

house in christiania, copenhagen.
architect/builder unknown.
a year ago, I went past the glass house built from recycled windows on
christiania to see if it was still there. it was, it looked inhabited,
and parts had even been painted.
it remains one of my favourite buildings in copenhagen.
my first photo of it - and main text.

Christiania,
also known as Freetown Christiania (Danish: Fristaden Christiania[needs
IPA] or Staden), is a self-proclaimed autonomous anarchist district of
about 850 to 1,000 residents, covering 34 hectares (84 acres) in the
borough of Christianshavn in the Danish capital city of Copenhagen. It
was temporarily closed by residents in April 2011 while discussions
continued with the Danish government about its future, but then
re-opened to the public.
Christiania has been a source of controversy since its creation in a
squatted military area in 1971. Its cannabis trade was tolerated by
authorities until 2004. In the years following 2004, measures for
normalizing the legal status of the community led to conflicts, police
raids and negotiations [Wikipedia.org]

Stradsgraven, Christiania, Christiania will probably soon be closed or
"normalized". No matter what precisely happens after that, I'm pretty
sure it newer again will be so charming and beautiful to take a walk
around Stadsgraven on a sunny day as today...

Ungdomshuset as seen from the street
The Youth House ("Ungdomshuset") on Jagtvej in Copenhagen.
The house was widely known as a place for young people, especially from
the left-wing. Furthermore some autonomists were using the house as a
meeting place. In March 2007, the house was torn down by its owner
"faderhuset" after it was evicted by the police. For several days, users
of the house demonstrated in the streets of Copenhagen, burning cars
and throwing bricks at the police.
Graffiti
in Danish: "We're the ones the others do not want to play with"; an
adaptation of a quote from a well-known Danish song by Kim Larsen: "we're the ones the others are not allowed to play with"
Facade of 65 Jagtvej, next to Ungdomshuset.
"We are the ones the others don't want to play with". An ironic
commentary about themselves. The star symbolizes anarchy and revolution.
The text is an obvious reference to the Kim Larsen song "Vi Er Dem".
