Eveready Harton in Buried Treasure, noto anche come Eveready Harton, Eveready, Buried Treasure, o Pecker Island, è un cortometraggio di cartoni animati per adulti realizzato negli Stati Uniti nel 1929, raffigurante le improbabili avventure del personaggio del titolo perpetuamente risvegliato con una donna, un uomo, un asino e una mucca
Presumibilmente, i laboratori cinematografici statunitensi hanno rifiutato di elaborare il film, e doveva essere sviluppato a Cuba.  Gli artisti sono sconosciuti, ma una voce diffusa afferma che un gruppo di famosi animatori ha creato il film per una festa privata in onore di Winsor McCay.  L'animatore Disney Ward Kimball ha fornito il seguente resoconto della storia del corto:

    Il primo porno-cartoon è stato realizzato a New York. Si chiamava "Eveready Harton" e fu realizzato alla fine degli anni '20, silenzioso, ovviamente, da tre studi. Ognuno ne ha fatto una sezione senza dire agli altri studi cosa stavano facendo. Studio A ha terminato la prima parte e ha dato l'ultimo disegno allo Studio B [...] Coinvolti sono stati Max Fleischer, Paul Terry e lo studio Mutt e Jeff. Non hanno visto il prodotto finito fino alla notte del grande spettacolo. Un paio di ragazzi che erano lì mi hanno detto che le risate hanno quasi fatto saltare in aria l'hotel dove lo stavano proiettando. Quando una copia del cortometraggio venne proiettata a San Francisco alla fine degli anni '70, le note del programma attribuirono l'animazione a George Stalling, George Canata, Rudy Zamora, Sr. e Walter Lantz.  Il cortometraggio circolò in modo informale, mostrato solo in piccoli festival o feste underground, fino al 2002 quando fu incluso nella compilation teatralmente pubblicata The Good Old Naughty Days.

Eveready Harton in Buried Treasure, also known as Eveready Harton, Eveready, Buried Treasure, or Pecker Island, is an adult animated cartoon short film made in the United States in 1929, depicting the unlikely adventures of the perpetually aroused title character with a woman, a man, a donkey, and a cow.

Overview

Supposedly, U.S. film labs refused to process the film, and it had to be developed in Cuba. The artists are unknown, but a widespread rumor states that a group of famous animators created the film for a private party in honor of Winsor McCay. Disney animator Ward Kimball gave the following account of the history of the short:

The first porno-cartoon was made in New York. It was called "Eveready Harton" and was made in the late 20's, silent, of course—by three studios. Each one did a section of it without telling the other studios what they were doing. Studio A finished the first part and gave the last drawing to Studio B [...] Involved were Max Fleischer, Paul Terry and the Mutt and Jeff studio. They didn't see the finished product till the night of the big show. A couple of guys who were there tell me the laughter almost blew the top off the hotel where they were screening it.

When a copy of the short was screened in San Francisco in the late 1970s, the program notes attributed the animation to George Stalling, George Canata, Rudy Zamora, Sr., and Walter Lantz. The short circulated informally, shown only at small underground festivals or parties, until 2002 when it was included in the theatrically released compilation The Good Old Naughty Days.
