Bolivia
Bolivia can be best described by something we saw on our road from La Paz to Cusco. We stopped at a little village for a walking and bathroom break and saw two cows violently having sex in a truck.
The whole vehicle was shaking and the driver just sat there with an ambivalent expression on his face. That’s life, his expression said, and life in Bolivia is wild, strange, with pagan customs and untamed nature, untamed people, untamed everything. It’s raw, but it’s real and beautiful, with the harshness of its history worn on the faces of its people.
